Ghalegaon lies at 210 Km from Kathmandu and 130 Km from Pokhara. Ghale Gaun is famous for its local life which offers a superb and breathtaking views of the mountain including Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Himalchuli, Mahhapuchhare, Annapurna IV, Bouddha Himal etc. Ghale Gaun village lies at the foot of the Lamjung Himal (6932m). This village is inhabited mostly by the Gurungs . Many people from this village have served and are currently serving the British and Indian army who are known as the famous Gurkha soldiers.
Day 1: Arrival
Meet and assistance by Loyal representative/guide, transfer to hotel. PM: Explore Kathmandu, walking through the old city. Welcome dinner in a Nepali restaurant with cultural show.
Day 2: Sightseeing of Kathmandu
Early morning, possibility to take mountain flight (optional) which offers the magnificent panoramas over the Himalayas including Mt. Everest. Back to hotel for breakfast. AM: visit Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) which is one of the most beautiful UNESCO sites in Kathmandu. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square including Kumari house, Kasthamandap, freak street and other historical monumens.
PM: visit craft city of Patan including its Durbar Square, museum, golden temple and several other monuments in the old city.
Day 3: Drive Kathmandu – Bandipur 5 hrs
Bandipur is a hill top settlement on Kathmandu Pokhara highway. Bandipur offers unique hill culture, extraordinary mountain views, lots of hiking possibilities, cave visit and historical temples and old houses.
Day 4: drive Bandipur – Khudi (2 hrs) . Trek Khudi – Ghalegaon (5 hrs)
Ghalegaon is one of the first villages to start home stay tourism I nn Nepal. Recently this village has been recognized as model home stay viallge in south Asia. Ghalegaon is situated in the lap of Annapurna mountains in Lamjung district of Nepal.
Home stay tourism provides an excellent opportunity to experience Nepal’s diverse population and their traditions and cultures. Meals are prepared from locally available vegetables and livestock. Living in a Nepali village as a home stay guest is an excellent way to know the real Nepal.
Day 5: Drive Ghalegaon – Pokhara 5 hrs
Drive from Ghalegaon to Polkhara.
After lunch, enjoy boating in Fewa lake (45m), visit Davise fall and Tibetan village.
Day 6: Full day activities in Pokhara
Early morning drive to World Peace Pagoda to see sunrise over the Annapurna Mountains, walk 20m. After sunrise walk 2 hrs to Dam side through forest and rice field. PM: visit Bindabasini temple, old city, visit Pokhara farmer’s market and international mountain museum.
Day 7: Drive Pokhara – Chitwan 5 hrs
Drive to Chitwan National Park. Lunch at jungle lodge. PM: Elephant back safari. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Day 8: Full day wildlife activities in Chitwan National Park
Full day jungle activities including jeep safari, visit crocodile breeding farm, jungle walk and canoeing in the river. Evening, watch Tharu culture dance. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Day 9: Drive Chitwan – Kathmandu 5 hrs
Drive to Kathmandu. Check in at hotel.
PM: Visit Thamel, Dinner at Thamel and drive back to hotel.
Day 10: Sightseeing of Kathmandu
AM: visit Boudhnath, the biggest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. Visit Pashupatinath temple, Nepal’s biggest hindu temple which is famous for its cremation Ghats and many colorful religious activities.
PM: visit Bhaktapur city including Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Nyatapola temple, Peacock window palace, pottery square etc.
Day 11: Departure
Free till departure. Transfer to the airport to connect international flight.
